The PV DRILLING IX rig starts her journey to Vietnam

On the morning of October 30th, 2025, the PV DRILLING IX Jack-up rig of PetroVietnam Drilling & Well Service Corporation (PV Drilling) has left Esbjerg port, Denmark by wet tow to Rotterdam port, Netherlands, officially started the journey back to Vietnam. This is an important milestone marking the completion of the first phase of the PV DRILLING IX rig reactivation plan managed by PV Drilling’s technical team in Denmark since September 2025.

PV Drilling officially receives ownership of the jack-up rig PV DRILLING IX

At 10 AM on September 04, 2025, at the Mizuho Bank office in Ho Chi Minh City, a Handover Ceremony took place between Petrovietnam Drilling & Well Service Corporation (PV Drilling) and Noble Highlander UK Ltd. This ceremony marked the transfer of ownership of the jack-up rig to PV Drilling. Concurrently, in Denmark, The Rig was handed over to PV Drilling‘s technical team.

Petrovietnam Drilling and Well Service Corporation (PV Drilling; HOSE: PVD) has announced that its jack-up rig, PV DRILLING VIII, has signed its first drilling contract with Vietnam - Russia Joint Venture Vietsovpetro and is preparing to carry out a drilling program at the Kinh Ngu Trang field.
