13-15 August, 2014 at PV Drilling Head Office meeting room, HSEQ Division has successfully co-organized with Bureau
VERITAS to conduct the training of API Spec Q2-Specification for Quality Management System Requirements for Service
Supply Organization for the Petroleum and Natural Gas industries. There were 30 trainees in HSEQ and Operations
Departments from PVD DD, PVD DW, PVD Tech, PVD WS, PVD LOGGING and PV Drilling HSEQ Division.
During opening speech, Mr. Huynh Ngoc Thua-PV Drilling HSEQ manager has emphasized the valuable significance and
contribution to service quality improvement, creating an image of professional and reliable service provider after more
than 10 years implementation and development of Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001:2008. However, as
more and more demands from customers as well as enhancement of service quality, contributing to the expansion of
external markets, ISO 9001:2008 application has not been able to make a difference and competitive advantage for PV
Drilling. Therefore, the upgrading of Quality Management System from ISO 9001 to API Q2 is necessary to ensure that Non
Productive Time (NPT), tool failures and risks are minimized during execution of service to prevent the service
interruption, to improve the service related product reliability and efficiencies and to effectively manage the changes
within the organization.
Although the application of API Q2 is very challenge, it is still the opened-door for PV Drilling to become an
international oil and gas drilling contractor. Based on the success of the previous years in implementing and
maintaining effectively HSEQ management system as well as the strong commitment from Top Management and efforts of
employees, the challenge of upgrading the HSEQ management system will contribute for us to drill deeper, reach higher as
the pioneer of Vietnam Drillers.
