In responding to the National Action Month of Occupational Safety and Hygiene 2022, in two days of 25th – 26th May 2022, the HSEQ Division – PV Drilling Corporation in collaboration with the Labor Union Committee carried out a field inspection of Occupational Health, Safety, Security, Environment, industrial hygiene and fire protection at bases as well as production facilities of 13 PV Drilling’s Subsidiaries and Joint Ventures located in Phu My and Dong Xuyen Industrial zones, Oil Spill Response Base and PTSC Supply Base in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.

This is one of the activities under PV Drilling’s 2022 HSEQ action plan implemented by the HSEQ Division (the first HSE walkabout in 2022), in conjunction with the appraisal for responding activities for the 2022 National Action Month of Occupational Safety and Hygiene and fire protection with criteria established by the Labor Union Committee. In accordance with the content and criteria of the evaluation, each of the two inspection teams included HSEQ staff from HSEQ Division and one member of the Labor Union Committee.

The results of inspection showed that there had been efforts from most of Subsidiaries in maintaining and improving HSE performance, thus ensuring workers’ compliance with regulations and raising their awareness about occupational health, safety and environment. There, however, were still some findings observed during the inspection regarding Emergency Tool and Equipment Readiness, Fire Prevention equipment. These observations were openly discussed with on-site supervisors and HSE management team on the causes as well as corresponding corrective actions.
