On 05th May, 2026, PetroVietnam Drilling and Well Service Corporation (PV Drilling) and Zarubezhneft EP Vietnam B.V. (ZNEP) signed a contract for the Provision of Jack-up Drilling Unit Services for ZNEP’s 2026 development drilling campaign at Block 12/11 (Contract).
The Contract Signing Ceremony was attended by the management of ZNEP along with PV Drilling and its partner.
According to the Contract, the jack-up rig shall be mobilized to execute the drilling campaign at the Thien Nga - Hai Au field, located in Block 12/11.
The Contract duration is expected to be approximately 160 days, with the commencement window in October 2026. This campaign represents a strategic milestone for ZNEP’s oilfield development in Vietnam.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Duong – Vice President of PV Drilling and Mr. Alexander Mikhaylov – General Director of Zarubezhneft EP Vietnam B.V. signed the Contract under the witness of both Parties.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Cuong, President & CEO of PV Drilling, reaffirmed the commitment to delivering the drilling services at a reasonable price, ensuring the mutual benefit for both Parties. In parallel, representative of ZNEP expressed strong confidence in PV Drilling’s capabilities and professionalism as demonstrated through previously executed drilling campaigns. Notably, ZNEP also highlighted that PV Drilling successfully deployed two drilling rigs for ZNEP in 2025 with high working efficiency and operational safety.
The Contract Signing Ceremony underscores ZNEP’s continued trust in PV Drilling’s technical expertise and service quality. This milestone further reinforces the sustainable partnership between two Parties and paves the way for future collaborative opportunities.
Amid the positive recovery of the drilling market, PV Drilling is not only expanding its presence in Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia but also continues to play a vital role in securing leased rig supply for the Vietnamese market with high standards of safety and efficiency.
