PV DRILLING II and PV DRILLING III rigs honored by Pertamina at the 2025 Service Performance Review

On January 19-20, 2026, Petrovietnam Drilling & Well Service Corporation (PV Drilling) and its partner, PT Jimmulya, attended the 2025 Service Performance Review workshop organized by their client, Pertamina Hulu Energi ONWJ (PHE ONWJ), in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. During the workshop, the PV DRILLING II and PV DRILLING III rigs were honored by Pertamina for their performance.

The workshop served as an opportunity for the Leadership of PHE ONWJ and PV Drilling to review and evaluate the operational performance of PV Drilling's rig fleet in 2025, while also conducting a comprehensive assessment of overall operational efficiency from 2022 to the present. In a context where Pertamina and Indonesian regulatory authorities apply rigorous standards to upstream activities, requiring strict compliance with governance, control, and risk prevention regulations, PV Drilling has exerted maximum effort to maintain safety and stability in rig operations, while enhancing organizational capacity and employee morale to meet all the stringent requirements of the market. 


From December 2022 to December 2025, the PV DRILLING II rig completed 27 wells, including 24 development wells and 3 exploration wells in the Indonesian market

The PHE ONWJ Leadership acknowledged and highly commended the achievements of the PV Drilling management and operations team, along with partner Jimmulya, as evidenced by the technical, safety, and production efficiency indicators of the PV DRILLING II and PV DRILLING III rigs to date. 

Specifically, since commencing the drilling program for PHE ONWJ in December 2022, the PV DRILLING II rig has completed 27 wells, including 24 development wells and 3 exploration wells. In 2025, the rig maintained an average operating efficiency of 99.98%, while achieving zero Lost Time Incidents (Zero LTI) and zero major HSSE incidents.

Meanwhile, the PV DRILLING III rig officially commenced services for PHE ONWJ on May 9, 2025, and has completed 8 development wells to date. Notably, at the Lima field well, operations were finished 10 days ahead of schedule, with well testing results exceeding expectations and receiving highly positive feedback from the client. Concurrently, the rig maintained a record of Zero LTI and Zero Major HSSE Incidents, achieving a near-perfect average operating efficiency of 99.99% in 2025.

These achievements have positioned the PV DRILLING II and PV DRILLING III rigs among the top-performing jack-up rigs currently operating for Pertamina in Indonesia.

At the workshop in Yogyakarta, the PHE ONWJ Leadership presented a Certificate of Appreciation to recognize the contributions of the PV Drilling and Jimmulya teams to PHE ONWJ’s drilling programs. This high appraisal from PHE ONWJ reflects the excellent cooperation between the parties and acknowledges PV Drilling’s commitment to maintaining service quality and operational standards. This achievement further affirms PV Drilling’s prestige and reputation in the Indonesian market specifically, and Southeast Asia in general. It also establishes a solid foundation for the Vietnamese drilling contractor to grow even more strongly in this vast market and expand collaborations with major partners in the future.
